We’re thrilled to announce this new Climate Catalyst Fund campaign, designed to enable more women to benefit from e-bikes and experience the freedom bicycle riding offers. Whether electric or not, bicycles are a climate solution - they reduce carbon pollution!

For this campaign we are partnering with the YWCA Missoula — they also understand that e-bikes can help some of our most underserved neighbors challenged by the cost of housing and transportation. Reliable transportation can be a significant barrier to housing stability, employment, education, childcare, healthcare, and more. By providing e-bikes to women who haverecently secured housing, we remove some of the barriers they face and, hopefully, instill a love for biking and the options and security this mode of travel offers.

Our inaugural fall 2026 campaign aims to raise $15,000 to purchase electric bicycles for clients served by YWCA Missoula.

And we’re excited to partner with partner with Missoula Bicycle Works a local bicycle shop to secure the bikes and acquire all necessary safety equipment.

Missoula icon Ethel MacDonald was our community’s biggest bicycle advocate. She passed away in October 2025 and donated one of her e-bikes to Climate Smart. Her charitable foundation recently donated $2000 toward this campaign. We are so honored and will always be inspired by her enthusiasm for bikes, travel, and community building.
